With this customer’s tight budget and recent puchase of a stock standard Series 1 GU Patrol, he was left with enough change in the pocket to start customising his new 2nd hand 4wd.

As with most older 4wd’s it is best to start customising with a Suspension Upgrade as OEM shocks & springs are quite often well worn by this stage, and all modifications made here will improve both onroad & offroad handling & safety.

The customer was after a 50mm lift we added RAW 4×4 NitroMax shocks and Dobinson Coils all round, with a RAW 4×4 Steering Damper to assist with steering rebound whilst offroad.

Once again the budget was a major player in the choice of snorkel and the IRONMAN 4X4 Snorkel won the day at $297 rrp. The fit and finish of this unit was identical to the more expensive brand we have been fitting for many years as it was the only choice. IRONMAN 4X4 have really opened the gate with this item, as the kit was excellent with clear & precise fitting intstructions, and with all the required nuts & bolts, unlike some similar cheap imports brought to us for fitting.

This Patrol has only just begun it’s 4wd adventures, and as time & budget permits more accessories will be added in the near future . . .
